Aquatic Resource Specialists (ARS) provides Environmental and Ecological
Consulting Services that range from Aquatic Biological Inventories (ABI) to Impact Assessments, Construction Monitoring, and
Habitat Restoration Projects.
Clients rely upon our technical expertise and practical field experience in conducting a wide range
of aquatic resource evaluations to support project permitting. Most of our expertise is focused on aquatic environments, in
particular community ecology and taxonomy.
ARS staff works with clients in a variety of industry and government sectors, including municipal
and public utilities, local, state, and federal agencies. Our biologists are recognised species-specific experts with several
state and federally protected species. We provide clients accurate and timely reports with thorough literature
research.
We
conduct Field Surveys to assess habitat quality and utilization by listed and special status species, such as the California
red-legged frog, the endangered tidewater goby and southern steelhead, and the western pond turtle, etc. ARS has
also provided clients with qualified biological monitors, training for work crews in endangered species awareness and procedures,
and assistance with project permitting and reporting.
