Norman, 2002b: The above page contains a 2nd article, on Southern seep salamander, Rhyacotriton variegatus, published on the same page that the above Ensatina eschscholtzii Intergrade Brooding Behavior paper by Sundell & Norman concludes: Herpetological Review 34(4): 298.  This paper reports the First Record of Predation on a Seep/Torrent salamander (Rhyacotriton) by a Northwestern Garter Snake, Thamnophis ordinoides, or by any Garter Snake species to date.
